New User Registration Do I choose my own user name or will BCBSM/BCN provide this for me? BCBSM will assign a user name and password for initial log in.

Providers who don't currently have a user name or password must complete a web-DENIS application as well as a Use and Protection Agreement form. These forms are available here.

The ID is distributed by BCBSM to the Provider with instructions on how to log in and what applications are available for use.
Can my password be anything I want? The initial password is assigned by BCBSM and will be communicated to you when you receive your initial user name. Providers can change their password to one of their own choice after the initial login. It must be at least six characters and can not be the same as their user name. The password must contain at least one alphabetic and one numeric character. Providers will be prompted to change passwords regularly (every 30 days). Why do I need "Setup Security" questions and answers? Providers must select and answer two personal questions upon your initial login to the system. If a provider forgets their Password, the Setup Security questions and answers allow the provider to re-establish access to the system without having to call the Help Desk for assistance. Reset Password What do these questions have to do with my password? To protect privacy, the provider must answer the previously selected questions correctly before they can create a new password and continue accessing applications.

The user name is locked if the provider unsuccessfully answers the questions three times and the help desk must be contacted to re-activate their user name. The Help Desk phone number is 877-258-3932.
